Early Decision Benefit (EDB) -The Joke!

Is It Not Cool?

Lovely Professional University got innovative in the process of admissions, by offering a very different kind of ‘sales term’ i.e.

Early Decision Benefit (EDB)

What the hell is that?

Well, it is a sale of tickets for a cheap concert called ‘Transforming Education, Transforming India’’.
You can get the first mover advantage, be the first and get the pleasant seats along with your girlfriend inside balcony area.

It was a bad joke! Anyhow:

It means join LPU early and get a benefit on paying the fee i.e. you can pay the fee of year 2013. And also get scholarships/financial aid

That is how the university has posted the benefits on its website:-

BENEFITS OF EDB:

  • Fee of Last year i.e. 2013 (or even lesser than the last year in certain programmes) will be Applicable for complete duration of the program.
  • Higher/More scholarship compared to other phases for certain programmes.
  • In case of B.Tech and MBA programmes , Student would also need to appear for LPUNEST 2014 Test , which is conducted Online in more than 100 Locations.

A good practice to accelerate decision making skills of its ‘potential’ students. I am saying you that in LPU, one has to act according to some stinky security-guards’ willingness, because they decide much early to your benefit.

Well, I can’t stop amusing! You go for EDB, because:

Last date to Apply for EDB is upto 31st May 2014.

RIP Education!

Fainted!!

Rapes- A Curse To Democratic India

Article has been written in reference to the news published in TOI on 12.05.2014.

Uncounted times and once more, a whack to a nation which prompt itself a democracy and a place with equal for women. The term-Rape, becomes so usual now a days that many gets skipped; unknown, unnoticed and unread.

A nation which is victimized of 25000 rapes in 2012, holding a record of; a rape in every 22 minutes (according to Wikipedia reports). These cases are only those which have been reported to authorities or registered in someway. Otherwise I am quite convinced that these figures could have been triple or even more. So, it roughly estimates a rape in every 7 minutes.

Interestingly the graph sloping towards the higher side, sources show that rape cases in India have doubled between 1990 and 2008. Nothing concrete has been done till now to downgrade these numbers by any govt. or constitutional authority. I do not remember (even do not find any evidence) which shows any execution took place in India out of 52 executions, in charges of rape case. Meanwhile politicians like Mulayam Singh Yadav are coming up and saying ''Ladko se galti ho jati hai'', proves that nobody really cares.

I am not agree to those who say that the plight of women was woeful in ancient times. I see that in now a days and envisioning even awful, if required has not done.

Urging you to read this article from Harvard Gazette by Professor Jacqueline Bhabha, director of research for the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights at the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH). In order to find out probable reasons of RAPES IN INDIA.

‘’Democracy is being allowed to vote for the candidate you dislike least.’’

‘’Democracy is being allowed to vote for the candidate you dislike least.’’

These lines may best suitable to a democracy like India. The nation is seeing a tough time with its leadership and economic goof. Common people are having a usual bad experience with every government comes in center or state. The whole system is running as its own, may be grabbed in a few rich hands.

To change the current scenario may not only takes time but the sincere efforts too. Proven good efforts are the result of good governance and dynamic leadership.

If I look after a candidate to whom I should vote, creates an interception in my mind.

-Congress has left a question mark as ruling party. In last 10 years, a common man didn’t see much change in his plight. Just the ‘sim-cards’ remained unaffected of inflation.

Scams, lack of visionary leadership, inability to control the economic graph and much more has disgraced the strong presence of congress.

Congress may have nothing to market! Not even a candidate for the prime-ministerial position.

On the other hand, BJP raised itself as a strong party. Projection of Narendra Modi as a prime-ministerial candidate has made a lot of sense for BJP. His spanking score-card in Gujarat has lightened the hopes among common people.
But the wounds of 1992 are still soaring his trouble. Minorities still doubt his credibility towards them. After all, every vote counts!

Arvind Kejriwal, a name that once becomes a talking point among the people of Delhi, is now a gloomy Sunday. His inexperience with political environment has become his headache. May be people still hoping from him.

A great leadership remains always a doubt in political India. Time to vote and ‘dislike someone the least’.
